Election of Officers

The following were re-elected for one year terms:

Glenn Borland, Chair;

Michael Walsh, Vice-Chair;

Linda Thorne, Treasurer, and

Michael Pique, Secretary.

Linda Thorne needs help carrying on the Treasurer work; Brenda Fromlath says she will help.

Agenda items:

Continuity and Communications:

Someone needs to keep Bruce Graves' PMPO Breakfast banner and put it up next spring. Someone needs to post information about the breakfast and annual PMPO meeting at the State Park, at the Post Office, at Lake Henshaw resort, and in the Valley Center newspapers. We should also advertise on the Fire Department sign and through community email listings such as Bonnie Phelps'.

Highway 76 Scenic Highway Designation Proposal:

Michael Pique has learned of a proposal to have Highway 76 below Palomar Mountain designated as a California Scenic Highway. He will find out what this would mean to local residents and visitors. Yvonne Vaucher will help research this too.

La Jolla Indian Reservation / Yale Cedar Creek Water Project:

According to channel 8 television, the Reservation is ramping up their casino efforts. Elizabeth Getzoff says the transfer of the Yale East Grade Road property to the Reservation appears to have been completed, based on a new San Diego County map. Brenda Fromlath said she received a telephone call from Sunshine Summit concerned about the effects of water trucking on water supplies.

Breakfast receipts and expenses:

Donna Dose said we received $545 including donations ($172) and strawberry sales ($150); expenses were $151 for the berries and $228.42 for supplies.
