Since the late 1800's the Bailey Family has offered camping on Palomar Mountain. Do you know someone who has fond memories of camping or square dancing down at Bailey's? Most of you know that the house was burned in a fire a couple years ago. It has been re-built and looks even more inviting than ever before! Brad and Terri Bailey invite you to check out Bailey's Palomar Resort. It's a small, rustic, private campground in a beautiful setting in the trees overlooking the pond. In the fall you can pick apples and enjoy the wild blackberries.
Directions: From the Summit, take State Park Road to Bailey Meadow Road. Turn right. The campground is at the end of the road.
Lake size currently at 1,132 surface acres, fish species: trout, bass, bluegill, crappie, catfish and carp.
Open all year, over 500 campsites, housekeeping cabins, RV hookups, tent camping, swimming pool/spa, laundry facilities.
Daily Lake permit $5, Boat rental $10, with motor $30, after 1 p.m. $8 and $25. Private boat launch - 10-foot minimum $5.00. No canoes or rafts.
Cabin rentals range from $45 to $64, RV Hook ups $19 per day, $114 per week, $230 per month. Camping $14 per vehicle - up to 4 people Pets $1 per day
