Fire operations continue on the 7600 acre which is now 90% contained. Full containment is expected Friday, October 8th at 6 pm.
Daytime operations made good progress in line construction as humidities rose as high as 40%. Weather tonight is anticipated to be cooler with temperatures between 50-55 degrees with relative humidity as high as 90%.
Fire crews will continue to complete and improve control lines around the fire tomorrow. The remainder of the fire will be in mop-up operations. Cooler temperatures and higher humidities today will be followed by gradual warming and drying the next two days.
Hwy 76 is scheduled to be open tonight after day crews have finished. Current road conditions will be provided by Cal-Trans, please call 800 427-7623. South and East Grade Roads will remain closed to the public. S7 East Grade Road will be open only to residents.
